Ventilated facades are becoming increasingly popular in construction work, as well as in the process of restoring old buildings and structures. They allow you to easily, without making changes to the design of the building, give it a new shape and fit into the environment.
The main material used for the production of ventilated facades is aluminum. Due to the excellent performance characteristics of this material, the installation of ventilated facades will allow you to forget about any problems associated with building maintenance for many years. Aluminum structures are guaranteed to last 50 years or more. They do not require any maintenance, and can be said to be left to “themselves”.
What is a ventilated facade
The system under consideration can be divided into two parts – subbase and cladding. The first includes aluminum guide profiles and mounting brackets. Also included are dowels, rivets, screws and other types of fasteners.
As for the cladding, it is again based on aluminum. Usually, cladding of ventilated facades is carried out in the form of cassettes, inside of which a heater is located.
Very often facade structures made of aluminum are used for glazing buildings. Here, too, the subbase and cladding are distinguished. In this case, cassettes with glass (double-glazed windows) act as cladding.
Features of installation of the considered systems
Installation of ventilated aluminum facades has a number of distinctive features:
firstly, for the performance of work it is practically not required to carry out any preparatory measures. This will save time and materials (a very topical issue, since in themselves such structures have a rather high cost);
secondly, you can do installation work at any time of the year, which cannot be said about other types of materials for exterior decoration. There are restrictions here only in that a person can work in specific conditions;
thirdly, for high-quality installation, it is necessary to mark up with a high degree of accuracy (this is rather one of the minor disadvantages). However, it will not be difficult for a qualified worker to perform this work with high quality.
Where can the systems in question be applied?
Such facades can be mounted on various types of walls. In the case of their installation on load-bearing walls, the structure is fastened over the entire area. If installation is carried out on self-supporting and curtain walls, then fastening should be carried out to transverse load-bearing elements (interfloor slabs, ceilings, etc.).d.).
The structures under consideration are used in almost all wind zones. They easily withstand heavy loads and do not collapse under their influence.
Due to their appearance, ventilated facades made of aluminum structures are widely used in the process of facing buildings of business centers, offices, etc.d. They will help to give any structure a modern and attractive appearance, for the preservation of which it will not be necessary to take any complex actions.
It is worth noting that these aluminum structures can be used for external decoration of buildings. With their help, for example, they are often insulated with prequected mines for elevators, which have recently received widespread, and many other events.
Although the price of aluminum structures is relatively high, the costs of them are quite justified. Take at least the absence of the need for any service. In addition, there are many more “pros”.
