During the reporting period of the last 2012, the number of hotels increased by more than 20 percent in the Crimea, specialists of commercial real estate market state. In 2012, the work of 210 hotels was recorded at once. Back in the last 2011, the number of objects that functioned fully was about 170. All this indicates that the number of facilities in the hotel sector has increased by more than 20 percent. The relevant information was provided directly in the Main Directorate for Information Policy and the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic, operating with the data received from the Ministry of Resorts. Throughout 2012, a large number of new objects have been opened that belong to the hotel economy. Among other things, the employees of this institution carried out methodological work to identify new hotels, as well as providing them with feasible assistance.
The Ministry of Tourism and Resorts continues to conduct active work regarding the identification of new hotel objects, for this purpose regular exits of employees are carried out. First of all, such trips are focused on the Kerch and Black Sea Regions.
The fact of identifying new hotels is noted, some of them are already categorized. By the end of this year, a fairly significant increase in the number of such facilities is expected. How the situation with the construction of new facilities in the hotel segment will develop is still unknown. A large number of facilities erected this year are associated primarily with the European Football Championship held in the summer period. So far, analysts do not make any forecasts regarding the further development of the market in Crimea.
